By using the system, Users confirm that they are familiar with the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, that they have understood them and that they expressly agree to them. The General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy are published on the website of the national archival information system.

Copyright and related rights

All rights to all content published on the public portal of the national archival information system, including but not limited to images, texts and software, are reserved by the Ministry of Culture and Media.

In accordance with the Copyright and Related Rights Act, NN 111/2021, the database is also protected as its own intellectual creation with regard to the selection and arrangement of content on the portal.

Terms of Use

The visitor is obliged to accept the terms of use of the website of the national archival information system set out below, otherwise he/she cannot access digital and digitized archival and documentary material, metadata and other content.

Content and purpose

The content on the website of the national archival information system is posted by the creators and owners of the material in cooperation with the Croatian State Archives and regional state archives.

Standardized statements on the copyright status and possibilities for re-use of digital or digitized archival and documentary material, metadata and other content on the website of the national archival information system apply. These standardized statements are not permissions (licenses) for use but serve as information for visitors to the website.

Individual digital and digitized archival and documentary material and metadata that are protected by copyright and related rights may be used by visitors only if they are accompanied by the markings of the corresponding standardized permission (license) for use, and under the conditions specified in such permission (license).

State archives, as well as the creators and owners of the material, strive to ensure that all data posted on the website of the national archival information system is accurate, complete and up-to-date in order to ensure a better user experience for visitors.

The Ministry of Culture and Media does not have copyright or related rights to digital and digitized archival and documentary material or metadata located on the website of the national archival information system and is not responsible for any violations of the rights of third parties in relation to such content.

Terms of Use and Liability

The Ministry of Culture and Media is not liable for any direct or indirect, incidental, non-material or material damage, losses or costs incurred as a result of the use or inability to use the content published on the website of the National Archives Information System.

The content available on the website of the National Archives Information System is updated and changed.

By using the content published on the website of the National Archives Information System, the visitor accepts all risks arising from their use, and agrees to use the content exclusively in accordance with the licenses attached to them.

The Ministry of Culture and Media reserves the right to change these Terms of Use at any time.

The Ministry of Culture and Media will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the public portal of the national archival information system contains verified and accurate data, but cannot be held responsible for its accuracy and completeness. All users who access the public portal of the national archival information system use its content at their own risk. The Ministry of Culture and Media will not be liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive damages arising from access, use or inability to use the portal of the national archival information system or due to any error or incompleteness in its content.

This portal contains third-party information and links to other websites over which the Ministry of Culture and Media has no control. The Ministry of Culture and Media is not responsible for the accuracy or any other aspect of such information and assumes no liability for such information. The Ministry of Culture and Media reserves the right to change the content of this portal in any way, at any time and for any reason and will not be responsible for any possible consequences arising from such changes.

Privacy Protection

The Ministry of Culture and Media respects the privacy of visitors to the National Archives Information System portal and will only collect personal data such as the name, address, telephone number or e-mail address of users when they voluntarily provide it. This data will be used exclusively to meet individual requests for information and to improve the content and services of the National Archives Information System portal based on them, by better understanding the needs of users. This data will not be sold or used, nor will it be transferred to a third party without the user’s consent. Any changes to the privacy policy will be published on this portal.
